Hand and Forearm Flap Course
The Clinical Skills Centre hosts a number of surgical training courses during the year. Developed and taught by leading Consultants, each course provides in-depth theory and the opportunity to practise a variety of surgical techniques in a modern lab environment.

Aims
This course provides an excellent opportunity to develop your procedural skills in hand and forearm flap surgery.
Topics
The Course programme will cover sixteen topics, including:
· V-Y flap
· X-finger flap
· Homodigital island flaps
· Heterodigital island flaps
· Dorsal metacarpal flaps
· Radial forearm flap
· Posterior interosseous flap
· Ulnar forearm flap
Training Methods
Each topic will begin with a short preliminary lecture and a demonstration dissection prior to the dissection of each flap by the registrants under the direction of the course tutors.
There will be 20 work stations, each with one fresh frozen cadaveric upper limb.
Maximum Participants
The first 40 registrations will be accepted. Subsequent applications will be placed on a waiting list in order of receipt.
